MBN / KETAPANG, West Kalimantan Regional Police – Representing the Ketapang Police Chief, AKBP Muhammad Harris SH, SIK, MIK, CPHR, the Deputy Chief of Ketapang Police, Commissioner Hoerrudin SIK, MH, attended the 2K and 5K Fun Run events held in Ketapang Regency. The event was a lively event with hundreds of participants from various community groups, students, sports communities, and government agencies.
This year’s Fun Run activity carries the theme “Capturing Talent, Building Achievement, Realizing Superior Athletes in a Shared Spirit”, as an effort to increase public interest in sports while also seeking potential athletes who can bring honor to Ketapang Regency in various competitions.
Present at the event were the Regent of Ketapang Alexander Wilyo, S.STP., M.Si., the Deputy Regent of Ketapang, elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Ketapang Regency, leaders of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), community leaders, as well as other participants and invitees.
On that occasion, Ketapang Deputy Police Chief, Commissioner Hoerrudin, conveyed that sports activities such as Fun Run are not only a means to maintain health and physical fitness, but also a forum to strengthen ties between elements of society and foster a spirit of sportsmanship.
He also conveyed greetings and support from Ketapang Police Chief AKBP Muhammad Harris, who expressed his appreciation for the event. He stated that the theme was highly relevant in fostering a generation of high-achieving athletes through a spirit of togetherness and collaboration among all parties.
Meanwhile, Ketapang Regent Alexander Wilyo, S.STP., M.Si., in his remarks, expressed his appreciation for all the committee members and participants who participated in the Fun Run. He expressed his hope that similar activities would continue as part of sports development and the development of the potential of the younger generation in Ketapang Regency.
The event proceeded safely, orderly, and enthusiastically. Participants enthusiastically covered the 2-kilometer and 5-kilometer routes, supported by security and traffic control from Ketapang Police personnel and relevant agencies.
Through this activity, it is hoped that superior athletes will emerge who are able to excel at the regional and national levels, while also strengthening the spirit of healthy living and togetherness within the Ketapang Regency community.
