
MBN / SEKADAU, West Kalimantan Regional Police – The Sekadau Police are finalizing security preparations for the 2026 Gawai Dayak Festival in Sekadau Regency. Personnel readiness and the development of security strategies were among the focuses of Sekadau Deputy Police Chief, Commissioner Samsul Bakri, while leading a leadership roll call at Sekadau Police Headquarters on Jalan Merdeka Timur on Monday (July 13, 2026).

The roll call, attended by senior officials and all personnel of the Sekadau Police, began with the recitation of the Tribrata and Catur Prasetya as a reminder of the fundamental values of service of police officers. In his remarks, Police Commissioner Bakri also expressed his appreciation to all personnel for their excellent performance of their duties over the past week.
In anticipation of the 2026 Gawai Dayak Festival, the Deputy Chief of Police has instructed the Operations Division to begin developing a security strategy tailored to the specifics of the activities on the ground. In the near future, the Sekadau Police will also hold a hearing with the committee as part of the finalization of the security plan.
“We will hold a hearing regarding the security plan for the Gawai Dayak. The Head of Operations, please begin preparing a security strategy. What is clear is that we must adjust the security pattern,” said Police Commissioner Bakri.
In addition to discussing security preparedness, the Deputy Chief of Police reminded all work units to immediately follow up on the findings of the Phase II Performance Audit of the National Police Supervisory Agency (Itwasum Polri). The Heads of Divisions, Heads of Units, Section Heads, and Police Chiefs were asked to review any outstanding findings and coordinate with the Supervisory Section (Siwas) to ensure all administrative matters are promptly resolved.
In closing his remarks, Police Commissioner Bakri reiterated the importance of maintaining discipline and avoiding any violations. He also urged all personnel to pray for their colleagues who are ill so they can recover quickly and return to duty.
“Don’t commit any violations. Remember your family, your children, and your wife. Be a source of pride for your family and your institution by demonstrating discipline and responsibility in every task you carry out,” stressed Police Commissioner Bakri.
